These terms cover purchases from Stave & Spur on https://stave-spur.pages.dev. By placing an order, you agree to them.

1. What we sell

Hand-painted, stenciled signs and decor (no vinyl) made from authentic Kentucky bourbon barrel staves and heads, reclaimed and processed from used bourbon barrels. Every piece is handmade. Char, grain, nail holes, cooper's marks and color differ from piece to piece and from the photos. Barrel stamps are not guaranteed.

Photos show a finished piece or a layout sample. Yours is handmade to match the description; the real grain, char and color vary. Sizes are approximate where we say "about".

2. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in US dollars and include free US shipping.
  • Sales tax is added at checkout when it applies.
  • Stripe processes payments. Your payment is taken when you check out.
  • If we list a wrong price by mistake, we'll email you before we make anything. You can then pay the right price or cancel for a full refund.

3. Personalized orders and proofs

  • You're responsible for the spelling and wording you send us. Please check names, apostrophes, dates and addresses.
  • We email a digital proof within 24 hours (Monday to Friday). Nothing is painted until you reply APPROVED.
  • Please reply within 2 days. If we don't hear back, we'll send a reminder, and your ship date moves back until you approve.
  • Revisions before you approve are free. After you approve, the wording is final.
  • If we still haven't heard back, we'll email you and may cancel the order with a full refund.
  • We may decline wording or images that use someone else's trademark, brand, logo or copyrighted art, or that are offensive. If we decline, we'll suggest a change or refund you in full.
  • For logo orders, you confirm that you own the logo or have permission to use it.

4. Shipping

  • We ship free, within the US only. See [Shipping](shipping.md) for timing and holiday deadlines.
  • If we can't ship in the time we told you, we'll email you with a new date and the choice to cancel for a full refund.

5. Returns and damage

We can't accept returns or exchanges. If your order arrives damaged in transit, email us as soon as you can and choose a free replacement or a refund. See [Returns & Damage](returns_damage.md).

6. Using your piece

Wall pieces include hanging hardware. Hang them into studs or with the included anchors. We don't state load ratings for hooks or shelves until we've tested them, so don't hang heavy loads. Our finishes are not food-safe: our pieces are not for cutting or serving food. These pieces are for indoor use or a covered porch.

7. Our designs and photos

Our designs, photos and site content belong to Stave & Spur. The names and details you send us are yours. We use them only to make your order, unless you give us permission (for example, to share a photo of your piece).

8. Limits

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
